Soya Canberra: Donation to the Decani Relief Fund
Cheerfully inform you that the Serbian Orthodox Youth Group from Canberra presented its first Humanitarian Fund donate Decani Monastery on our Kosovo.
With contributions acquired during the night cafe organised last year as well as picnics on the monastery property, the group has allocated a sum of 1,000 Australian dollars for humanitarian assistance to the active fund.
The desire of all members of the group is to thank all the good people who attended the events organised by the group, and who allow their contributions to this fund help.
As a group, young people from Canberra wanted to primarily support the humanitarian action that is focused on helping the Serbs from Kosovo, which certainly do not want to forget and that we believe are not sufficiently represented in the Serbian community in Canberra.
Group members were informed by the President of the fund, Father Nektarios Serfesa, who is a priest of the Greek nationality that this donation will contribute to the operation that is currently underway and it is to provide scholarships for youth from Kosovo in order to attend college and to go to school despite financial difficulties.
Father Nektarios was founded by such funds in Kosovo this week sent 51'-the student in the school. Below is an excerpt quoted from a letter by Father Nektarios our group
