SOYA weekend in Auckland

On Saturday, 27 of  February 2010, Elijah washer and Milijana Bojic Kilibarda on behalf of the Serbian Youth Association (SOYA Inc.) have travelled from Melbourne to New Zealand to pursue a documentary "Kosovo: Can you imagine?"

Serbian community in New Zealand is a small, but it is much harmonious and positive and Elijah and Milijana are welcomed like old friends by Father Sava Antic, and all parishioners in the church of the Holy King Milutin.

It was friendship, deep conversation and a lot of ideas about how New Zelandska youth to continue the work started by their peers in Australia.

As expected, the documentary about the situation in Kosovo provoked emotions in the audience that gathered in the theatre. There have been questions about our ability to help their country from abroad, where are the people whose story is told in the film, to finally come to the conclusion that the story of Kosovo should talk to our neighbours, co workers and people who are not familiar with the true story Kosovo, the untruth that is shown false by the Western media.

After the film, young people gathered in order to agree on future projects "SOYA New Zealand" and to foster the spiritual development of young Serbs who live too far from their homeland.

One idea is to organise a youth camp in New Zeladnu, which is really an excellent idea because New Zealand is one of the most beautiful zemanja the world because of its untouched nature.

Elijah and Milijana returned to Melbourne full of happiness and positive energy because they are sure that with the help of Father Sava Antic, young Serbs in New Zealand continue to ideas and goals SOYA-e and heartfelt thanks to all who received them in their homes and that as Serbs potvdili friends wherever we find ourselves in this big world.
